Michigan 4-H State Shooting Sports Tournament
The 2012 Michigan 4-H State Shoot will be held on Saturday, August 4. Thanks to Centerline of Calhoun, Inc, for allowing us to return for this annual event!
This annual event provides Michigan 4-H shooting sports members the opportunity to test their skills against other youth from all over the state and compete for awards in BB Gun, Trap, Skeet Muzzleloading, Air Rifle Target Archery and 3-D Archery.

NOTE: Due to the extremely dry conditions, fires and BBQ grills will NOT be allowed on the grounds this year.
2012 Registration and Rules
Participants must participate in a local competitive activity under the supervision of a certified MI 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor in order to qualify for participation in the State 4-H Shooting Sports Tournament.
Registrations must be returned to your county office no later than July 9, 2012, so the county can enter them into the system by July 10, 2012. Please remember that you must register one adult volunteer for every five youth enrolled.
The registration fee is $15/competitor. Invoices will be sent to counties after registration closes.
Registration confirmations will be sent to the email address entered with the competitors’ registrations. It is the competitor’s responsibility to make sure they are enrolled in the correct event. ABSOLUTELY NO LATE OR ONSITE REGISTRATIONS OR CHANGES PERMITTED.

2012 State Shoot Schedule of Events
Early bird on-site check in: 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, August 3, at the Centerline club (http://www.centerlineofcalhoun.org/directions.html). Please use the directions posted on the Centerline website; many a car has gone astray following Mapquest, Google Maps or Garmin/GPS directions!
County Coordinator registration and check in: starting at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, Centerline Club.
Breakfast, lunch, snacks and the famous root beer floats will be available for purchase from the gun club at a very reasonable price. Please help support Centerline of Calhoun by taking advantage of Judy’s great cooking!
Competitor Check in and shooting times will vary depending on the range and event. The relay and squading rosters will be sent to County Coordinators and posted here by July 25.
Volunteer Check in will occur at the range to which you’ve been assigned. Refer to the Volunteer List for details. This list is also provided to the county coordinator by July 27. If you are unable to fulfill your assigned volunteer job, YOU are responsible for finding a replacement. Notify the range event coordinators of any substitutions upon check in.
- 3-D and Target archery volunteer orientation at ranges at 7:30am (morning shift) and 12:30pm (afternoon shift).
- Rifle volunteer orientations (registrars, range officers, scorers) at 8:30 am.
Awards will be held on August 7 at 7:30 at the ‘old’ Bellevue Football stadium, behind the Central offices at 904 West Capital, Bellevue, MI. (West side of the M-78 X Sand Road intersection, across from the Root Beer Stand)
