This year, the women’s basketball celebration will pay special tribute to
Michigan 4-H programs, offering activities and displays that show how 4-H helps
Michigan youth and adults learn together through community-based learning
opportunities. These opportunities empower youth and adults to achieve through
knowledge, success and friendships that last a lifetime.
“MSU Extension’s 4-H Youth Development helps youth aged 5 to 19 learn and develop through informal and experiential hands-on learning opportunities that help them to succeed in becoming confident leaders, public speakers, communicators, students, entrepreneurs, teachers, citizens, scientists, environmental stewards and more,” said project coordinator Holly Lacina. “Development programming is delivered through 4-H clubs and in- and out-of-school community-based networks that mobilize volunteers and communities to meet the needs of youth in a changing world.”
4-H’ers will lead the 4-H pledge before the game, and there will be an opportunity to get photos with Sparty, the MSU cheerleaders and possibly the Lady Spartans. Show off your 4-H/MSU Extension pride by wearing green or white 4-H or MSU Extension apparel.
The game will start at 4 p.m. with doors opening for the MSU Extension 4-H group at 2:00 p.m. and for the public at 2:30 p.m. MSU Extension and 4-H attendees should enter the Breslin Center at Gate D. Transportation may be coordinated through your countyMSU Extension office. Parking is free for all school buses; all other buses are $20. Car parking costs $5.
